Bachelor of Medicine

The Study Programme of Bachelor of Medicine prepares students to be able to continue their studies in the Profession Programme of Medical Doctor before graduating as a doctor. The courses held by the Study Programme of Bachelor of Medicine include compulsory courses, as well as specialized courses. Compulsory courses of the university are carried out throughout the semester with the method of lecture and assignment to students. It is different from compulsory medical courses. The implementation of compulsory medical courses using the PBL (Problem-Based Learning) method, so that students can develop their own potentials. Each semester contains 4-5 specialized medical courses, each of them lasting 4-5 weeks. The learning activity model of specialized medical courses consists of expert lectures, tutorial/Small Group Discussion (SGD), small class practice, laboratory practice, as well as mid and final exam modules.

As a preparation to undertake the profession of a medical doctor, students also obtain material to train and sharpen skills as doctors within non-clinical skill modules. Here, students are trained to play the role of a doctor in dealing with patients according to the case until providing therapy or knowledge to the patient. As a supporting facility in training skills as a doctor, students will be provided with a suitable mannequin or someone who will act as a simulation patient. Students' skills as doctors will be assessed in the Objective Structure Clinical Examination (OSCE). The degree of the  Study Programme of Bachelor of Medicine is S.Ked.

Medical Doctor Professions Education

The profession programme of medical doctors is an advanced study programme. This study programme will place the student to perform static or clinical rotation, which means the student will serve in different parts of the hospital alternately, as a young doctor or coach. The task of a young doctor is to deal with hundreds of cases directly and accompanied by the facilitators of the clinic.

The end of this one-and-a-half to two-year profession programme of medical doctors is a Mini Case Examination (Mini C-Ex). In this test, the student will interview, examine, analyze, and prescribe medication to the patient under the supervision of a clinical assistant lecturer. 

At the end of the stage, students are obliged to take the Student Competence Test of the profession programme of medical doctors (UKMPPD). If the students pass this examination, they will get the title of dr.

They have become experts or educators in various institutions in various regions of Indonesia. With grounding concentrations in Human Health and Aging Science, Stem Cell, and Aesthetic Medicine, our graduates are required to be able to apply and develop biomedical sciences oriented to human interaction with the environment and the industrial world. At the end of the stage, students who have made a thesis and passed the exam get the title of M.Biomed.
