According to the theory of human information processing, there are three important principles that must be considered in the process of finding information in teaching and learning, which activate prior knowledge, encoding specificity, and elaboration of the principles knowledge.Tiga is in accordance with the curriculum developed by problem (PBL), given PBL allowing students from the first year and subsequent years have the opportunity to develop these three principles. Hence our choice in curriculum innovation is PBL.
In the PBL system approach, the students are introduced to the learning method in the form of tutorials (small group discussion) using modules. Inside the modules there is integration between their respective disciplines between biomedical sciences, human sciences, clinical medicine and medical science community. The system also invites students are actively in acquiring knowledge is to define their own learning objectives.
